Abstract. In this paper the magnetized Kantowski-Sachs inflationary cosmological model in the presence of massless scalar field with a flat potential is investigated. To get an inflationary universe, we have considered a flat region in which the potential V is constant. The magnetic field is due to an electric current produced along the x-axis. Thus the magnetic field is in the yz-plane and F23 is the only non-vanishing component of the electromagnetic field tensor Fij. To get the deterministic solutions in terms of cosmic time t, we have used negative constant deceleration parameter q proposed by Berman. Some physical and kinematical parameters of the model are also discussed.
