String Cosmology in the Lyra Geometry

Abstract. A class of cosmological solutions of massive strings are obtained in Kantowski-Sach space-time based on Lyra's geometry. The different equations of state for string model namely: (i) (barotropic equation of state); (ii) (geometric strings); (iii) (Takabayashi string) are considered.
