Perturbation Calculations for the Schrödinger Equation with a Bistable Potential

Abstract. The renormalized hypervirial perturbation method is used to compute the energy levels for a bistable potential V(x) = λ2 [ α2⁄8[cosh(4λx) - 1) - α(β + 1) cosh(2λx)]. Results are produced for several sets for the three parameters λ, α and β.
