Cluster Method for Selection of Diffraction Dissociation in Hadron Interactions at High Energies

Abstract. A new method for the selection of diffraction dissociation in hadron interactions is proposed and tested. The efficiency of the method is studied and compared with the efficiencies of the maximum rapidity gap and the longitudinal phase space methods. The proposed method seems to be more reliable in the selection of diffraction dissociation for high multiplicity final state hadrons.
