Abstract. The optogalvanic reactions of different types of hollow cathode lamps irradiated by laser resonance light have been studied. Non-identical reactions of the same spectral line have been detected. In As lamps the optogalvanic signal is strongly affected by the Penning As-Ne interaction. An approach to the analysis of the reaction of an atomic system with respect to external resonance radiation is discussed.
