High-Efficiency CuBr-Dye Laser System Lasing on 628 nm Wavelength

Abstract. Possibilities for efficient generation at 628 nm from a due jet laser pumped by a copper bromide vapour laser are investigated. The Rh 640, KR 620, Rh 610 CV 670 dyes and their mixtures are used. A wall plug efficiency of 0.5% for the system dye laser pumped by a copper bromide vapour laser is achieved when KR 620 dye is used.
