Abstract. A system is described in which a recently proposed method is utilized. The selective polarization is achieved by means of m-cycle polarization voltage, m = 1,..., 5. The value of this voltage in each cycle is constant and can be adjusted in the range ±30 V. The duration of each cycle is h ≥ 0.32 s. The depolarization current id is converted to a voltage u = -Rid, where R = 106–108 Ω. This voltage is digitized by means of a digital oscilloscope and the digitized data is sent to IBM PC for storage and processing. The first measurements show the existence of the proposed SPD-thermograms and the efficiency of the system.
